PAMASKONG HANDOG PROJECT NI PGMA

The Municipality of Amlan is one of the recipients of the “Pamaskong Handog Project” of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.  This project is in relation to the accelerated hunger mitigation program of the government.  The identified recipient families are the beneficiaries of the Tindahan Natin Program and the Supplemental Feeding recipients of the Municipality.  The Municipality of Amlan was allocated with 2,250 gift packs to be distributed to the identified beneficiaries of the eight barangays in the Municipality.

The launching of the said activity was done last January 10, 2008 at the Amlan Gym.    Present during said launching were Atty. Danilo L. Bunabon, NFA Regional Director, Mr. Gil B. Ibarra, NFA Provincial Manager, Ms. Alicia Lagarde, Provincial Social Welfare & Development Officer, Mayor Bentham P. de la Cruz, Mr. Dionisio A. Monares, Jr., Social Welfare Officer of Amlan, Barangay officials of Barangay Poblacion and the identified recipients of Barangay Poblacion.

Each beneficiary received P100.00 worth of goods that consists of 2 kilos rice, 2 packs instant noodles and 2 cans corned beef.  There were 210 beneficiaries of Barangay Poblacion who received the gift packs during the launching of said “Pamaskong Handog Project ni PGMA”.  The remaining gift packs will be delivered by NFA, Negros Oriental to the Municipality of Amlan on January 18, 2008 and will be distributed to the different barangays starting January 21, 2008.
