Jantianon is a landlocked barangay found on the Southwest portion of the Municipality of Amlan, bounded on the North by Barangay Bio-os, on the South by the mountain of the Municipality of Sibulan, on the East by Barangay Silab, and on the West by Barangay San Miguel, Tanjay. It is 2.9 kilometers from the National Highway, 6.5 kilometers from the Poblacion and 27.5 kilometers from the Provincial Capitol.

Barangay Jantianon has a plain area of 8.59% while its hilly area is 47.56% and mountainous area constitutes 43.85%. The slopes ranges from gently sloping to slightly rolling with some dissections formed by creeks and river. There are three types of soil found in the barangay: thses are Mandaue Silty clayloam which is 6.64% of the total land area; La Castellana clayloam 39.21%; and Hydrosol which constitutes 54.15%. The soil is friable clayloam, moderately well drained and moderately acidic (pH5.5-5.7). Stones and rocks are numerous that would cause obstruction in the farming operation. The presence of these rocks and boulders impede the growth of plants thus affecting yield. The Barangay have several creeks and a river (Bio-os river) which flows from the mountain of Jantianon down to Barangay Bio-os traversing the boundaries between Jantianon and Barangay Silab.
The climate of Jantianon belongs to the third type which is characterized by not very pronounced maximum rainful with a short dry season from one to three months and a wet season of nine to ten months. The dry season starts from February and ends up to April sometimes extending up to the middle of May. The coolest months are November and December while the hottest is between March and April. The heaviest rainfalls are from June to August and the rest of the year have no pronounced rain period.
LAND AREA
The total land area of Jantianon is 2,282 hectares which constitutes the largest in the Municipality of Amlan.
